If my battery can’t be verified what am I at risk for?

My iPhone battery says it can no longer be verified, what does this put me at risk for?

iPhone XR, iOS 14

No, I went on my phone as usual and my apps kept crashing, so I reset my phone (turned it off and back on) and when I did the Apple logo kept showing for around an hour and a half or two. So I tried to factory reset, nothing happened. I decided to leave it on the charger and let it sit because I was frustrated. I check back like 30 minutes later and it turned on. I checked settings to be met with new information as stated above. Never did anything with my battery.
