The joystick buttons of the Xbox Wireless Controller Series S/X are not working

I have connected my Xbox Wireless Controller to my iPad and I noticed the joystick buttons (clickable buttons when you press them) are not working. All the other buttons and the joysticks themselves are working as expected.

I have noticed the issue with many iPad games and I am not using any button mapping customization in the Game Controller setting.

When the controller is connected to my computer, the joystick buttons are working so the issue is not the controller itself.

Is there any way to fix this?
