iPad 7th Gen just died

So, my kid's 7th gen 32 GB iPad just died. Purchased new in May 2020 pandemic style.

Mostly just kid's game apps but had plenty of storage. He uses it for Roblox and YT videos mostly. And it just shut down mid game and never came back to life.

Won't take a charge, and tried the rebooting methods.

Any thoughts?

Fine.

Search online to locate and call contact your nearest, “local” Apple Store location to try/attempt to make an appointment to get your Apple iPad 7th gen diagnosed an options presented to you.

Just in case, bring the power adapter AND cable with you.

You didn't say whether you tested this iPad with another known good Apple charge cable or not.

OR, failing that,
