Can't watch shows that I want to watch!!

I'm trying to watch Apple TV on my Mac, but they have no app for the Mac, like they do for my phone, so I accessed it thru the internet, appletv . I can view shows there, but I have no way to search for shows that I want to watch. How can I fix this problem?

if the mac is updated to macOS Catalina (10.15) or later it will give you an appletv app on your mac
