Mail "All Inboxes"

Just installed a mac mini m1 & configured mail with multiple email accounts all Imap but under Favourites "All Inboxes" some of my accounts have an arrow in front which expands the menu & shows all the folders for that accounts like Junk, Sent, Bin etc.

Normally under Favourites I have "All Inboxes" "All Sent" "All Drafts" etc like on my M1 laptop but cannot see away of changing it on the mini.

Not a major problem but with it this way any emails that come into any folder for that account show as unread emails.

Any suggestions?

Hover over the Favorites header in the mailbox list and click the + button. From the resulting dialog you can add All XXXX or individual mailboxes to Favorites.

You can also ctrl-click on individual mailboxes to add them to favorites.

I had the same problem and I remember seeing it on thunderbird too.

What you need to do is go under

mail/preferences/account/server settings

here you select the account that interests you and click on "advanced IMAP settings" (located just before "Outgoing mail server").

Now, make sure that the "IMAP Path Prefix" is "INBOX" (without the inverted commas).

Close everything and reopen and now the spurious nested tree under favourite should have disappeared.
