Ipad storage full

Can anybody help me to clear “ Other System Files” which is using approx. 25.5 GB of the storage on my 32 GB iPad Pro therefore rendering it useless for using apps. I have had telephone assistance fromApple support without getting a fix to this problem. I have removed almost everything I can to reduce the storage. Thanks

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

When looking at your own data storage usage, if you see that the “other” category is consuming an disproportionate amount of space on your iPad, this support page may be helpful to you:

It can be different for each person….and could be simple or tricky just depending on where your “other” stuff is actually coming from.

Its usually made up of things that just don’t fit in to the main categories…I.e. caches…cookies…Siri voices downloads…and other random stuff. So if you can effectively investigate that, you can know where to delete without sacrificing any more apps or photos etc.

Theres a pretty comprehensive troubleshooting here at this site (https://www.macworld.com/article/232651/iphone-other-storage-what-is-it-and-how-do-you-delete-it.html) if the Apple one doesn’t get you quite there. Walks you through step by step . Good luck my friend!

Thank you for your reply. With the help of Apple Support I have tried all the solutions that you suggest. My last option was to “Erase All Contents And Settings”. I then followed all the steps to set the I pad up as a new device to no avail, the storage was still showing as full. My iPad is already running 14.5.1.

I plugged the iPad into my Mac in the hope that I could restore it but curiously the following message appeared on the Mac

“ cannot back up the iPad because there was not enough storage on the Mac.

I checked the Mac storage which gave the following “ 107 GB available”.

I am totally stumped.

Many many thanks for your help my iPad is now showing that 8.7 GB of storage is being used instead of 32GB which of course means that I can use it again.

I turned off all I could and then chose every option to return to factory settings and then restored the iPad from my Mac. This is a process I have tried a few times without success. The only thing that I did differently was to choose the option not to reinstall apps. Whether this was the solution or not I know not, all I do know is that I would have given up without your help.

There is 1 other question I would like answered if you can.

If I go to Settings > General > iPad Storage then scroll to the bottom of that screen there is a category “On My iPad” I know it is for reviewing documents that are taking up a lot of space but to the right of this option there is a little wheel that revolves constantly, is that normal ?
