File and HD Permissons
Recently Apple re-installed my OS on my 2020 MBP (not even a year old). Since getting it back any time I want to move a file into another folder, from the desktop, delete, etc I am asked for my password. I went to check permissions and see that neither of my user profiles are listed to have access to the HD or most files. Now it only "System: Read & Write", "Wheel: Read Only", and 'Everyone: Read Only". I unlocked Finder to make changes and tried adding both of my profiles and Admin to be able to access the files and/or HD and every time it says "This operation can't be performed because you don't have the necessary permissions". I'm the owner, and both accounts are admins but they can no longer access the HD or be added to files leaving me stuck using my password every time I need to move or do something with a file. I'm also concerned now because I can't access backups or transfer files from one profile to another because neither have system access. I'd also like to remove the "everyone" and "wheel" profiles from the system but I am blocked from do that as well.
Any thoughts on how I can give myself access back to my files and the HD?
