I was receiving my email on the computer icon and then it stopped I have no idea what to do next any help would be appreciated

Who is your eMail Provider?
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
Many eMail providers now require a separate App Password…
Then you may need Ways to securely access AOL Mail…

recently my icloud account in mail stopped being able to connect. All my other emails load and send just fine. It is a new problem. I have an older computer, and have mail Version 10.3 (3273) Sienna 10.12.6 and MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015
