Until recently, all my Apple devices connected to the WiFi at home. Now, one of my iPads no longer connects to home WiFi - they all still connect to other WiFi networks (work etc.,). Any advice would be much appreciated.

when I try to click on the WiFi network, it simply says Unable to join network. Every few attempts. It will say Unabme to join the network (WiFi name) If your network security is managed by WiFi address (also known as “MAC address”), you may need to turn off Private WiFi address or modify your network settings.

What happens when you try to connect that iPad? Have you tried forgetting that network and then trying to connect again? To prevent being asked to do a number of things you may have already done, it would help if you explained what you have already done to troubleshoot this issue.
I have tried to do the following:
Turn the iPad off and on
Turn the router off and on
Delete the network and try again
Have gone through general to Reset to Reset network settings
Nothing works, but when I redo the wifi, it comes on for a split second and then is gone.
