Welcome to the Apple Community city, where some of us do our best to help each other.
Most likely your redeemed gift card balance is in your Apple ID account.
This is the one account for everything you do with Apple ... music, movies, apps, books, iCloud storage, and more.
If you make purchases from the App Store, or iTunes, and you want to use your Apple ID funds for payment, you need to be logged in with your Apple ID.
