The slight smile emoji 🙂 triggers me. How to remove it?

Hey there,

I heard that these emojis are encoded in a font file at System/Library/Font. Is there any software to edit the emojis from this file format (which is not an image). I'm on MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 (Macbook Pro)

Best regards

I believe you can substitute in what you type, but not in what you receive.

This organization, not Apple, determines the basic set of emojis:

I suggest you contact them:

Thank you for your reply

In the end, this is all about handling font. Unicode standard determines which code corresponds to which emoji, but the "image" itself is picked up from the local font, depending on the OS: Android emojis differ from iOS ones. That's why I'm looking at a software to edit it. I don't think the Unicode org will care/know about how to handle that
