Transfer data is taking a long time. iPhone 6 to iPhone 11. what could be the problem???

So I just picked up my iPhone 11. I've been using my iPhone 6 for a moment

now and it was honestly time. So I got it home, started the transfer data thingy with

the little blue particle cloud and it's still going. I set it up around 8pm last night

and nothing has changed. It's 2:25pm the next day.

I tried to press press just now and nothing changed. I tried to turn off my iPhone 11

and nothing has changed. My 6 is on OS11.1 (yes, I became super weary of updates

and I like the apps I used that were not updated and hence would disappear)

What could be the issue? Does it really take this long to transfer data?

Do I need to take my phones in to Apple store and have them do it?

If you're setting up a new device using your current device with Quick Start, your old iPhone must be using using iOS 12.4 or later.

Use Quick Start to transfer data to a new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

You need to setup your new iPhone the old-fashioned way, using a backup of your old iPhone:

Use iCloud to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

or

Use iTunes or the Finder to transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
