Can I charge my Apple Pencil (1st generation) with my iPad charger (20W)?

Apple Pencil (1st generation) comes a charging adapter which allows me to charge my Apple Pencil with my iPhone or iPad charger. My iPhone 7 charger is 5W, and my iPad (8th generation) charger is 20W. Since Apple Pencil is a small device, I charge it with my iPhone charger because it has a smaller Watt. However, I wonder whether I can charge my Apple Pencil with my iPad charger while my iPhone charger is already in use. I know that I can charge my Apple Pencil with my iPad charger but I fear that it is something harmful for my Apple Pencil battery in the long run; so I wish to know whether this is something that Apple approves. I could not find which chargers we can use to charge an Apple Pencil on Apple's website.

Apple devices can use any Apple power/charging adapter.

I suspect the Pencil is the same.

I use my 12W adapter with my 1st gen Pencil and charging adapter and it charges with no issues.

Been charging my 1st gen Pencil this way for nearly a year now. No issues so far.

I suspect the same is with the 20W adapter.

The Pencil will just use the amount of power it needs to charge up and no more.
