How to deal with a loose female socket on the IPad
The female power connector seems to be to loose to make a connection with the power cord. How can this. Be fixed and if so how do I go about it.?
iPad, iOS 10

Assuming that you have an iPad with a Lightning port, the problem with a poorly retained connector is usually associated with breakage of one (or both) of the integral spring retainers of the iPad Lightning port.
Replacement of a damaged Lightning port is unlikely to be economic. For an out-of-warranty repair, Apple will usually charge c.60% of the “as new” price of the iPad - and in lieu of repair, for qualifying devices, will usually offer exchange for a reconditioned iPad of the same model and specification.
