Downloading latest version of ios software.

I have a iphone 6s model. I want to update my existing software to ios14.5 but do not have sufficient storage space in my device.I want to update by linking my computer to my computer which operates on Windows 10. Is it possible? if not what alternative options do i have? I cannot remove everything that I have stored in my phone and make sufficient space in the I-phone> I am told I will have to make space for about 6.5 GB. Can you help?
