Can I use gift card to discount the education price of MacBook?

I want to trade my current MacBook.

And after I received the apple gift card; can I use it for discount the education price? when buying my new MacBook?

Apple Gift Cards may be applied toward the purchase price of new Apple products purchased directly from Apple.
