Paste multiple numbers into messages app

I run several sports leagues and decided to supply all my employees with Mac products purely due to the fact that we can paste multiple cell phone numbers into the messages app to text groups of people. This is handy when we need to text an entire team that their game time has changed or something similar.

With the updates over the past year, Apple has removed this feature.

Apple, do you have a workaround for this? If not, we have wasted tens of thousands of dollars on your products and will move back to chromebooks.

I can paste a list of numbers, each on its own line.

I tried a few variations on the list and the only one that work was each number on a separate line.

It never occurred to me to separate phone numbers with commas as a comma is a valid part of a phone number. It causes a pause in the dialing sequence.

I think apple just removed the feature.

If they did, they made a special exception for me.

I'm sorry, but how do you drag a text selection into a finder window?

Type the text into some text editor, select it all (cmd-A), drag the selected text into an open Finder window. You can't see the cursor in this screenshot, but this is what I mean:

The selected text is from a Pages document (but any source will do). When you drag the select over the Finder window, you will only see the outline of the window highlight. When I dropped it, it took the first few lines as the name. You can then edit the name of the clipping to be the team name.

You can do a similar thing with email addresses if you need to email groups and don't want to add them to your contacts.

No need; it works as you describe for me.

And, we don't work for Apple, so trying to address them here is futile.

Another method you can use is to create a list of numbers, select them all, and drag that selection into a Finder window. That will create a text clipping which you can name, such as Team A. You can drag that clipping into the To field and it will address them all. But, if pasting multiple numbers in doesn't work for you, that may not either.

Mine were all separated by line endings. I think there is a maximum number of entries in a group; maybe that is the issue.
