If you mean restore a backup, you can restore a backup to any device as long as the iOS version it is running matches or is younger than the one in the backup.

the iOS version it is running is older than the one in the back up. Can I still restore?
The backup phone is running 14.2 and the device I want to restore is 14.5. Will I still be able to restore?
You will not be able to restore a device running 14.2 from a backup made from a device with 14.5.
If the backup is made from a device with 14.2 and trying to restore to a device running 24.5 then it will work right?
