Ipod Shuffle 4th Generation not turning on

I charged it for 2 hours yet the light is still orange. It never turned green. I can feel the ipod is getting a little warm due to it charging, that confirms that it's actually charging, but why is the light not turning green?. After 2 and a half hours of charging, I tried turning it on but nothing is working. Everything is unresponsive. The light is off, there's no music or any sound playing from it.

I bought it around 2010. It's been a really long time since I used it. Could it be that the battery is damaged or something? I really want it to work again tho, pls someone help :(

Hello huwaida2304,

We understand you've charged your iPod shuffle for two hours, but the light is still orange and it won't turn on.

To start, we'd recommend completing the steps in what to do If your iPod won't turn on or seems frozen.

You can also Check the status light and battery charge on your iPod shuffle.

If your iPod shuffle still won't charge, you can review iPod service pricing for service and support options.

Based off when you purchased your iPod shuffle, we'd also recommend reviewing this link: Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty

Cheers!
