Malware hacked my camera

I received an email saying that i visited a site which had a malware nd while going through the website my web browser started working as a remote control nd so the person got access to my camera and filmed me and now I require to pay him by buying him bitcoins in-order to get him delete it or else he would forward it to all my contacts from email , Facebook and messenger as he had transferred them while he hacked my phone through the malware , is it possible to happen ?

iOS / iPadOS devices cannot be hacked or infected with Virus / Malware / Spyware if it is updated to the latest iOS/iPadOS unless you have intentionally downloaded spurious software or unauthorized apps directly from the internet and installed on your device or/and have Jail Broken.

It (Hacking) also depends on how careful are you in sharing sensitive and valuable information pertaining to your iPhone such as Passcode, Password etc with your friends and family members.

Don't share Apple IDs
Don't Jail Break
Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device and payment methods

No i didnt handed my phone to anyone , he said it was remotely controlled through a malware which was places on a website
