Can't change my password

I have a mac mini and it won't let me reset my password using my Apple ID, I get an error popup If you change the password for this user account, you will create a new keychain to store the user's password. When I click OK it goes back to the login

Hi there,

Try this:

Turn off the Mac.
Turn it on, holding Command + R.
Select Utilities > Terminal.
Type resetpassword
Follow the steps.
