1: Nobody here knows the answer to that, beyond assumptions and guesses.

2: Buy used, or buy Series 6, or, well, buy whatever best meets your requirements.

3: Whatever better meets your requirements. Could be Series 6, or might not be.

Series 6 is effectively a Series 5 with pulse oximetry added.
