M1 Mac mini native display resolution changed

I have an M1 Mac Mini which I love! I have it connected to a Samsung 4K monitor (LU28R55). When I first hooked it up via HDMI it was setting the native resolution at 4K which I would expect. I had a couple other devices I wanted to connect to the monitor so I opted to switch to DisplayPort. I have a USB-C - Display port cable which I hooked up and everything is fine. One thing I have noticed however is native resolution for my Mac is defaulting to 1080P. I can change to 4K in scaled resolutions but not sure why it changed. I also tried reconnecting HDMI and it's the same thing, native resolution is 1080P. Is anyone aware of any recent updates or reason why this would now be happening? Appreciate the feedback.

Thanks!

Mac mini, macOS 11.3
