Good evening. Can a screenshot magically appear in someone’s iPhone photos without the person using the phone taking that shot on purpose or accidentally? Can someone hack a screenshot onto your phone?

The most likely explanation is the iPhone was out of the owner’s possession for a while and the shots were taken then. Note the screenshots are almost certainly date - and time - tagged. That information could be seen in Photos.

Thank you but, I am technically illiterate and have to be spoken to like a 4 year old when it comes to these situations. Is it possible? There was some pretty undesirable screen shots on a loved one’s phone they claimed they didn’t take. Is it possible that someone hacked into their phone without the owner of the phone sharing their Apple ID ? These are screenshots not pictures taken with the phone camera.
