Shazam

Is there a way to make the Shazam app on the iPhone automatically / always download a song to a specific folder? I may be doing it wrong but notice that I have to open the app, have it recognize the song, then choose for where it will download the song ( as of now my Shazam folder). Is there a simple way to automate this ? Reason I ask is that I usually only use the app while in my car (probably the only time I listen to the radio) and would like to be able to just hit 'Shazam' and have it download to where I want it......as of now I can only use it when at a Red Light or in a parking lot (Will not use when ACTUALLY driving!). Thanks for any suggestions or possible shortcut hints.

Hello A. Stradford,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We are happy to help you!

It seems you are looking for additional information regarding Shazam and how to download a song to a specific folder.

We have taken the liberty to provide you with some helpful steps:

Use Shazam on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, or Mac

"Use Auto Shazam

To have Shazam automatically identify what’s playing around you, touch and hold (or double-click on Mac) the Shazam button . When Auto Shazam is on, Shazam matches what you’re hearing with songs in the Shazam database—even when you switch to another app.

Shazam never saves or stores what it hears.

You can then find the Shazams identified with Auto Shazam in My Music, grouped together by date.

To turn off Auto Shazam, tap or click the Shazam button."

We hope this finds you well!

Cheers!

Chuck, thanks for trying to help me but I'm a bit confused by the reply. I have a 'Library' and 'My Shazam Tracks' but don't see what you refer to as 'My Music'??? Also, what I'm trying to do is get Shazam to always deposit the songs in the same folder, say "My Shazam Tracks' without my input! As it stands now after Shazam has identified a song it requires prompts to place the song. I'ld like to avoid these prompts and just have it always drop the song into 'My Shazam Tracks' or some other folder of my choice. .....anyway, thanks again for trying. Note: this is for using Shazam on my iPhone 11Pro.

Chuck, I went back and see what you mean by 'Auto Shazam'....Got it! BUT: is there a way to do what I want without Shazam being in 'Auto Mode"? If I'm driving down the highway I would not want it to ID and List EVERY song I hear on the radio! Just the ones I might choose. But thanks for alerting me to the use of Auto....maybe thats the way to do it : Pressing Auto on and off?
