When looking at activity monitor on Catalina and selecting inspect selected process for the WindowsServer ther is multiple ongoing faults occurring under statistics.
Why are these faults occurring can I find out what they represents ?

I am not privy about the details of this, but I assume these are completely normal. It is not just Window Server, you will find this for just about any project you inspect in Activity Monitor.
I suppose these are just "page faults", which is something that happens frequently, as the OS shuffles memory pages, either through swapping or compressing.
