i have windows 10 pc, plugged in my ipod and got message boxc saftware required fo rcommunicating with ipods is not installed, I download and install and still doesnt communicate. I have uninstalled and reinstalled latest itunes

Those are great details. Did you also make sure your Windows software is updated? If you have any available Windows updates, install those, then check for an iTunes update again. If the behavior continues, do you use a VPN or any security software? If so, disable or temporarily remove those to see if that helps.

Hi, I did follow the instuctions (3 times in fact) uninstall/reinstall and still get same message box oaftware required for communicating with ipod is not installed, I click on downlaod/install button, acts like its downloading, then computer asks me if ok to make changes and I say Yes, then says installing, then nothing, no ipod shows in itunes. It shows my ipod on C drive on my computer and you here the "ding" sound when you plug in usb/ipod, but just shows on computer, not in itunes and itunes doesn't automatically load like it used to and I have no itunes icon, I have to go to start button and find itunes and thne click from there to open itunes up.
any more ideas? thanks
