Step three seems wrong.

The instructions say:

The Camera app turns Live Photos on again automatically. To keep Live Photos off permanently, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Camera > Preserve Settings.
  3. Make sure that the switch next to Live Photos is turned on.

If I am turning Live Photos OFF, why would I turn the switch ON? I think someone typed the wrong word. ;-)

It is correct (but I do see the confusion). There are 3 different camera settings that can be preserved (Camera Mode, Creative Controls, and Live Photos). If you want the Live Photos setting to be preserved at Off, you need to turn the option to preserve it on (you can then go to the Camera app and turn Live Photos off and it will stay off until you manually turn it on again).

And even my description above seems confusing!
