Macbook Air M1, no USB printing on HP LaserJet P 1102w

Since upgrading to a M1 Air I can not print via USB anymore.

It seems the old driver (automatically installed) does not work on an M1 mac for some reason. I did work on my 2019 iMac.

I can use AirPrint but that is very slow when printing images (a minute and more) with this model.

Why does the drive that worked un my iMac under macOS 11.3 not work with the M1 Air?

The iMac running on an Intel CPU and the driver use written for Intel Based CPU. The driver from the Manufacture needs to be updated to work for the Apple Silicon M1 Machine Language of ARMS based CPU.
