Random songs disappearing from my Apple Music Library

Hi! Major dilemma: I just recently noticed random songs are missing from my Apple Music Playlists. I was able to download them again from Apple Music, however I’m frustrated because I can’t tell if I’m missing songs that I don’t remember. It’s important because most of these songs I use to teach a dance class and I need to have them in my library to refer to when I need a certain type of song. Now I don’t know what all I’m missing. All the suggested things to check were already enabled, such as having “Optimize Music” off, “Sync Library” on, my iOS is up to date, my Apple subscription is valid, etc. Any feedback and help is very much appreciated. Thanks!!

Same thing is happening to me. We create a playlist and throw four or five purchased albums on it. The next day, a random selection of songs are missing from the playlist. This is getting frustrating, because we still have the songs, they're just not on the playlist (I re-add the albums and skip the songs that are repeats....just this morning, I had to do this from a playlist I made on Saturday, and 14 of about 40 songs were missing -- I counted).

Why is this happening?

Also, I would like to point out that the person who first answered you did not comprehend your (our) issue, as you clearly state that the you had re-downloaded the songs from Apple Music and therefore the problem is not that they are no longer on Apple Music.

Hello dorothea102,

After reviewing your post, it seems like random songs have disappeared from the Apple Music Playlists. It may be that the songs are no longer available in Apple Music. We would recommend you use this article to help troubleshoot the issue.

Are these playlists you created or an Apple Music curated playlist?

"If you’re still missing a song that you added from the Apple Music catalog, then the song might have been removed from Apple Music or is available under a different file name. Try searching Apple Music for the song, then add it to your library."

If songs are missing from your music library after you turn on Sync Library
