just got catalina update and downloaded an app that i use to have, got it in download folder then dragged it to the app folder then i did get a small window from that app without access to sign in or connect to it
seems that access was denied is there anything i missed
i do not see that it is compressed either

What app and version? Catalina can only run 64-bit apps; many older apps or app versions are 32-bit and cannot run on Catalina.

You did not answer the question that Allan asked. what app are you having problem with and how have you confirmed it is a 64 bit app? Without these basic pieces of information we cannot help you!
