MacOS changes display orientation to 90 degrees randomly

Hi,

I have had this issue for about a year now. When my Mac Mini goes into energy saver mode, sometimes it will change the display orientation to 90 degrees when the computer wakes back up. I do sometimes use 90 degree orientation with my display, but this happens after I have already changed it back to standard. This issue happens randomly as well, not every time the computer wakes back up from energy saver mode.

How can I set the display orientation to standard permanently?

Sometimes switching back and forth, can mess with and/or corrupt the preference settings.

I would reset the NVRAM, as per > https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063,

then try and stick to one or the other display setup to see if that helps.
