Why do blank pages appear in my document, and how can I delete them?

I have been using pages for several years publishing a news letter for our German club. I mostly use text boxes and images for almost everything. There's a table for the activity calendar, which I found easier to go without text boxes.

I have almost completed this month's layout when I noticed 2 blank pages near the end of my document. I have one article, 2 pages, and then the activity calendar on the last page. When I try to delete the 2 blank pages, it deletes an entire section and I can't figure out how to unlink the pages within that section. If I put my cursor on the bottom (or top) of a page and hit the delete key, nothing happens. I also noticed that only one of the blank pages has the outline as I have "show layout" selected. I've already spent a lot of time on the layout for this month and I don't know where these things popped in. How can I get rid of the 2 blank pages without deleting those around it?

HI mama,

is there any text in the body of the page containing the table?

Is the table on that page set to "Stay on Page"?

If so, try placing the insertion point at the end of that text, then Insert (menu) > Section break to place a section break at that point.

This should let you select only the last two pages when you click the last or second last page thumbnail in the let sidebar, and delete only that section.

Barry

Hi mama'

Pages, in a Pages word processing document, are created automatically by the application to accommodate the text in the document.

Go to the View menu and choose Show Invisibles.

Then check your 'empty' pages for invisible content (which will be shown in blue).

Delete the 'invisible characters, and the page should disappear.

Barry, I did try to "show invisibles" upon your request. However, on the 2 blank pages, there is nothing showing. They are completely blank without anything on them. All the other pages show tab marks, or carriage returns, not these two. I can't seem to get rid of them. In lieu of time I'm going to have to recreate the document, something I didn't want to do. If you have any more suggestions I'll try them so if this happens again, I'll know what to do.
