iPhone 8 on full storage frozen on start screen.

I have an iPhone 8 which was showing full storage or near it the past 3 days. I deleted some apps and photos and it made minimal difference. Today the message showed again and it wouldn't let me delete any apps and so I turned off the phone. It has been frozen on the black apple screen for 10 min so far. What can I do?
