Why is my brand new iPhone 12, (that cost me an arm and a leg) taking weeks to prepare a 30 second video? It’s pretty annoying and I’ve tried restarting. This is absurd, am I hopefully missing something to correct this? Or just a bad product?

Which app are you using to view the video?
What is the source of the video?
Are you able to test viewing the video on a different device?
You'll also want to make sure your iPhone is up to date, as updates can be released after your iPhone was manufactured.
