Changing frame rate issues

Hi - I have a feature document that has just failed Apple's technical quality test, for submission to major platforms.

It failed on several counts, but the one I'm concerned with here is on some drone footage, which I inadvertently shot on 29.97 fps. I converted this to 25fps in FCPX, but this is unacceptable as that process drops frames. The dropped frames showed up on the QCR.

Reshooting or replacing the footage is out of the question.

Any suggestions to get around this?

THANKS!

Can't you just put that 29.97 fps clip to a 25 fps project and adjust its speed to "Auto" which plays every frame but increases the clip length multiplied by about (30/1.001)/25 so 10 sec becomes about 11 sec 24 frames at 25 fps with no dropped frames (set audio to "Preserve pitch" if there is any relevant audio in the original drone footage).

Thanks for that Tom.

I tried that technique with optical flow (which I thought only worked with speed-adjusted clips) and it seems okay to me - but then I thought it looked okay before! It's a very harsh scrutiny for the technical assessment.

Anyway, it's suck it and see, hopefully this has worked.

If not, I'll try Compressor. How would that work with just a few clips?
