Cant unlock notes with apple watch

Hi, I have no trouble unlocking my macbook with my apple watch but cant unlock my notes on macbook with the watch. It did work previously (a few months ago) but stopped working recently. Seems like a common problem amongst the community... the settings are correct in system preferences, how do i get it working again?

Why is unlocking my Mac with my Apple Watch unreliable? I have my Apple Watch and my Mac set up so that the watch is supposed to unlock the Mac. This usually works, but quite often, after the Mac has been sleeping, the screen says "unlocking with Apple Watch" but it doesn't actually do that, and after a bit I have to put my admin password in. I see this as a bug - if the watch isn't going to unlock the Mac, then it shouldn't ever display the "unlocking" note. Is there a way to stop this happening? I'm using an Intel iMac running MacOS Ventura 13.2 with an Apple Watch running WatchOS 9.3, but the issue existed in earlier versions.

Apple watch will not open 1Password My Apple 6 Watch with Version 7.3.2 software and my MacMini M1 with Big Sur 11.2.3 will not open 1Password 7 app running 7.8 software. When my Watch signals that I can open 1Password the watch vibrates and the watch window indicates that two clicks on the Crown button will open 1Password but when the Crown is clicked the watch goes to the Watch apps then returns to the Watch face. The watch successfully opens my system at startup when wearing the watch.
