Time Machine Downloads Deletion

I have made a downloads folder on OS Big Sur. When I go into Time machine - external HD - I am unable to delete past downloads. There USED to be a "delete" line when doing a right click on the mouse. Now there is "copy" , "quick look", etc but no delete on the right click. No delete function on top tool bar either. Any ideas?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.3

To get the Delete all Backups of "xxxx" you must be in a date earlier than today.

So make sure you've scrolled back in time to yesterday or earlier.
