I bought a new Siri remote today to work with my HD Apple TV. I’ve charged the remote. Unplugged the Apple TV device for several minutes. I’m unable to mute my TV. Held the mute button down. Tapped it. Double tapped it. No joy. Any ideas?
Had that all set up. Just changed select volume control from auto to tv via IR. Now the mute button works. Thanks. I appreciate the extra set of eyes on this.

Replaced the older A1625 Apple TV HD box with a less older 4K box and the mute button on the remote works. Never saw that the version of the box was a consideration. But it seems that it works for any 4K version.
Have you set it up per Control your TV or receiver with your Siri Remote or Apple TV Remote?
New remote. Works for on/off, volume, etc. Mute doesn’t work. Panasonic 32” with Viera Link turned on. I guess it only works via IR.
