Lightning cable got wet

Hi.

I unfortunately managed to spill Coca Cola on the floor where my charger was. I put it under water since it was sticky and dried it off. Is the cable still safe to use after it’s dried? It’s a usb-c to lightning cable for the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
