Macbook not recognizing USB devices

Hi. I am using a macbook pro with 2 usb-c ports. I have been using an Adam Elements hub since i bought this computer a few years ago. When I updated to Big Sur, my computer/hub can only recognize the old devices that I have been connecting to my macbook before the update. Now, it cannot recognize any new device (usb printer, flash drive, phone, etc.).

Even though my new device is physically connected, it does not appear on Finder. I even tried looking for it on the System Report, Disk Utility, and Terminal. I tried using a different hub but the same problem persists.

I hope you can help me out.

Thank you
