Dead iPhone 6

Is there a way to extract photos from a dead iPhone 6? It will not power on or take a charge.

Try the steps below but if it completely dead the only way to get the photos would be from a backup on iCloud or a computer.

pictures from dead phone during hurricane..phone dropped/cracked/into water... had many, many, pictures from hurricane... of course power went out before pics could upload to cloud... anyway to retrieve the pics from the dead phone?
