I am planning to buy a refurbished Mac Pro and I am wondering if it will be free of scratches and other signs of previous use? Also wondering if the battery in it will be replaced? Is there any information about this from an official representative?
Same experience here. We have bought a LOT of refurb Macs and iPads and not one of them was anything other than perfect.
Three were MacBook Pros and the cycle count on the batteries indicated that the batteries were new (1-2 cycles, same as a new MacBook Pro). A friend bought two refurb MBPs and his batteries also showed 1-2 cycles.
The commerce laws are really torturous about what can be sold as "new". Apple refurbished meet ALL other standards, including cosmetic ones, and have the same warranty.
The only real difference is that if Dead-on-Arrival, it cannot be exchanged at the store, it must be returned to the source.
Of all the Apple refurbished products I have purchased, (MacBook Pro, iMac, 2 MacBook Airs) every item has been pristine.
Will an Apple refurbished Mac have any scratches/signs of previous use?
