My friend bought two refurbished iPad 2nd generations for her young children. She bought from Walmart who is refusing to help because purchase was too long ago. Is there any way to get Apple to remove the old user info and to reset these old iPads to factory settings?
If the person has the original purchase receipts from Walmart with the purchaser name and the iPad serial numbers shown on the receipts and with matching photo ID, contact Apple and ask. Apple might. If there are no receipts, or receipts with no serial numbers shown, or no purchaser names shown, I’d doubt that Apple would release the Activation Lock for those.
