Software Update Disabling iPads

Several weeks ago I ungraded the operating system on my iPad Pro 12.9 to 14.5.1. The iPad was working fine and has since purchasing it and through iOS 14.5. As soon as I tried to update to 14.5.1, the machine became unusable. Apple phone support and in store tech have been unable to restore and update. Every effort brings up the Apple logo which is fixed on the screen.

Now on to my other iPad.

I also have an iPad 5th generation which also had been functioning without problems before upgrading to 14.5.1. Working with Apple phone support, we were able to get the unit to restore and update, but the Apple logo is still fixed on the screen. The restore and update seemed to work perfectly going through the new device setup. However, once everything was completed, the screen went back to the Apple logo and remains there.

So, two previously functioning iPads (both used daily mostly for news and music instruction apps) have both become inoperative following efforts to update to 14.5.1. What's going on? Anyone else having this problem?

Just wanted to update my problems with two iPads. As noted earlier, both were inoperative after updating to 14.5.1. Well, today, I tried again to restore and update them after 14.6 was released. Both iPads are now working. Not sure why this worked with 14.6 but not 14.5.1.
