maybe that particular VPN isn't compatible with big sur. maybe try Urban VPN Desktop. it's free in the app store and offers many countries to connect to.

The story has changed. If it is a true point to point tunnel contact the VPN admin to help you troubleshoot the VPN.
How are you using the VPN? Is it to connect with your employer or a bank? If for other reasons here's some food for thought: unless you're using a true VPN tunnel, such as between you and your employer's or bank's servers, they are useless from a privacy standpoint: Public VPN's are anything but private.
Some use it to access sites in other countries that they could do otherwise. It's not recommended to do it generally as it doesn't provide any more security.

Im Not Using an App For This VPN, Its a L2TP Config From The Default VPN Section In Mac
Tries Them, Not Working Unfortunately.
What DNS settings are you using?
I've switched to Open DNS and find it very good.
