“Primary” number

I was trying to txt someone earlier and my messages would not go through. It gave me a pop up asking if I wanted to try again with my “primary “ number. What is this about? I only have one phone number. No other number was ever added nor do i have any device except my phone.

Is your phone number selected? It should be.

Thank you . My phone was set up at the Verizon store when I bought it, which was almost two years ago. To my knowledge , nothing was ever discussed about a duel sim. Also in the past if there was a time when a message didn’t go through to someone I never was given this option to “try again using primary”. This is the first time I have never personally set up the use of a duel sim.
