so when my mom calls me for the past two days, instead of showing her contact name, it shows up as my own. i never changed her contact name, it just started doing it randomly. any way on how i can fix it?

This response absolutely leads me to believe you’re either sharing an iPhone telephone number in Contacts or an Apple ID, or have done so in the past and not thoroughly cleaned up after ending the sharing.
Do you and your mom share a telephone number? An Apple ID? Some other identifying information?
So when your mom calls you, the number she calls from is uniquely hers … nobody else, including yourself, uses this number, correct?
And her call is a standard telephone call, not a FaceTime or some other app call, right?
no, the only thing i can think of is that we have family sharing .-.
yep! when she calls me standard, it shows up as my own name— but when she facetimes me, it shows up as “[my name] or mom”
