how do I get my phone back to normal?

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
The recommendation is to start recovery mode while you have it connected to the computer. To start recovery mode: "iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.”
