Hi amyrudolf,

If I understand your question correctly, you'd like to stream from your M1 MacBook Air using AirPlay to your TV. However, your TV doesn't support AirPlay.

If this is the case, there's a few options available:

  • Connect your MacBook Air to your TV using the appropriate cable and switch the TV input accordingly. Usually, you'd need an HDMI cable and an HDMI to USB-C adapter. Be sure to check the adapter specifications to ensure that it supports a good refresh rate (preferably 60 fps) and high quality video (minimum 1080p HD, 1920x1080 / Full HD is good, 4k is really good).

  • If your TV supports streaming through certain software that the manufacture provides, back up your Mac, then install and configure that software on your Mac. Typically it would be mentioned in your TV's documentation.

  • If you're willing to spend the money, purchase an Apple TV and connect it to your TV using an HDMI cable. You can then use AirPlay to stream directly to Apple TV.

Hope this helps!
